It is the awesomest thing to gather a cooler full of fire-proof foods (hot dogs and 'mallows, of course) and head out less than 10 minutes away to a private beach. A place where you feel like you're the only ones in the entire world, and a place where the entire world can't reach you (no cell service).
Where there's no bugs. No yucky things in the water that will graze your feet and freak you the heck out. Just a dock and a swingset and the deer and the antelope play.
It is now one of our favourite spots, and we hope to be there OFTEN during the summer. When it's this peaceful, why wouldn't we be?
